Odoo Community Edition for your company

The free, open-source edition of Odoo: implemented, hosted in the EU and supported by 36T. We work only with Community and sell no Enterprise licences.

What is Odoo Community?

Odoo is an ERP system made of apps: CRM, sales, projects, invoicing, inventory, manufacturing, HR, website and more. Odoo Community is its open-source edition under the LGPL licence. You may use it commercially, without licence fees and without a limit on users.

What the standard does not cover is added by extension modules, some from the open-source community and some of our own.

Odoo publishes a new version once a year, but you do not have to follow it. We look at every new version and recommend a switch only when we see a real benefit for you: a migration is never mandatory, and the changes from one version to the next are often small. You work with the version you prefer.

Our modules for Odoo Community

Odoo Community covers a lot on its own. Where it stops, we have built our own modules over the years, written from scratch for Community.

Accounting and finance

E-invoices for German recipients, live bank connection and reconciliation, financial reports, EÜR and DATEV export, dunning, SEPA direct debit, early-payment discount deadlines, fixed assets with depreciation, liquidity planning and supplier bills read from PDFs.

Trades and construction

Site surveys turned into quotes, frozen quotes compared with actual costs, a technician app that works offline, maintenance contracts and protocols, DATANORM price files, GAEB tenders, VOB progress invoices, the § 35a labour share and reverse charge for construction work.

Clients and projects

A client portal for tickets, approvals, quotes and invoices, a helpdesk with guaranteed response times, resource planning, documents, a knowledge base, digital signatures and business processes modelled in BPMN.

People and services

Staffing with assignments and rate schedules, payroll with the DATEV payroll export, skills radar, bookings of rooms and resources, and fleet management.

Which modules are included in which plan is shown on our pricing page; modules for your industry are set up in the project.

Frequently asked questions

Is Odoo Community really free?

Yes. Odoo Community is published under the open-source LGPL licence. There is no licence fee and no limit on users. Costs arise only for operation, setup and further development.

May we use Odoo Community commercially?

Yes. The LGPL allows commercial use in your company without fees.

Which apps does Odoo Community include?

CRM, sales, projects, invoicing, inventory, manufacturing, HR, website and more. What the standard does not cover is added by extension modules from the open-source community and by our own modules. We clarify in the first conversation whether that covers your processes.

Is there support for Odoo Community?

Not from the vendor. Support, updates and further development come from a service provider. At 36T there are support hours for this, as a package or on demand.

Can Odoo Community handle e-invoicing?

Yes. With our own e-invoice module, Odoo Community writes XRechnung and ZUGFeRD (EN 16931) the way German recipients check them, with the Leitweg-ID and a check of every field before sending. It is included in the Plus and Premium plans.

Do I have to migrate to every new Odoo version?

No. Odoo publishes a new version once a year, Community included, but a migration is never mandatory and the changes between versions are often small. We look at every new version and recommend a switch only when we see a real benefit for you; you work with the version you prefer. Updates and security patches are part of every 36T Cloud plan.

How many users can work with Odoo Community?

As many as you need. Odoo Community has no user limit, and in 36T Cloud you pay no price per user but for the capacity that runs at the same time.
