Odoo implementation for small and mid-sized companies
We implement Odoo Community in small and mid-sized companies, run it in the EU and keep developing it with you. No licence costs per user, and prices you know before you start.
Does this sound familiar?
Most SMBs do not lack motivation; they lack structure.
- No overall picture: data is scattered across tools and nobody has the full view.
- Manual processes eat up time: people do work that a system could do.
- E-invoicing mandate: since January 2025 all B2B companies must be able to receive e-invoices, and from 2028 they must also send them.
- No IT staff: 74% of companies cite the skills shortage as the biggest barrier to digitalisation.

This is not an isolated case. It is the norm among German mid-sized companies.
of German companies still process more than half their office work on paper.

Why Odoo Community?
No per-user licence costs
You pay for implementation and support, not for every employee who uses the system.
Open Source
The core is open source and your data stays in standard formats. No vendor lock-in, no dependency on a single provider.
Full data ownership
Your data stays with you. No cloud provider has access.
Modular
Start with one module. Expand when you're ready.
What an Odoo implementation with us includes
- Analysis: we start with the problem that costs you the most time, not with a list of modules.
- Setup: sales, CRM, projects, time tracking, invoicing and accounting, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, HR and website, set up for how you work.
- Data migration: customers, suppliers, products, open invoices and balances from your previous system or spreadsheets, checked before go-live.
- German requirements: e-invoicing, DATEV export and German charts of accounts, see below.
- Training: your team learns the system with its own data.
- Operation: hosting in the EU, backups, updates and security patches.
- Further development: custom modules, interfaces to other systems and AI integrations when the standard is not enough.
How we work
Pain point
We start with a concrete problem, not an enterprise transformation.
MVP package
Fixed scope, fixed price. You know upfront what you're getting.
Live & in operation
Your team works with it. No pilot project that nobody uses.
Expand as needed
You decide what comes next.
Every change is a user story with a time estimate. You approve before we start.
One system from the first contact to the e-invoice
Nothing is typed twice: every step carries over what the previous one already knows.
Odoo for German requirements
E-invoicing
E-invoices in XRechnung and ZUGFeRD (EN 16931) the way German recipients check them: with the Leitweg-ID, the customer's references and a check of every field before sending. Our own module, in the Plus and Premium plans.
DATEV export
Accounting exports for your tax advisor in DATEV format, in the Premium plan.
Live bank connection
Bank transactions arrive through a live bank connection (PSD2) and are reconciled in Odoo, in the Premium plan.
Charts of accounts
SKR03 and SKR04, the German charts of accounts that come with Odoo.
DIN 5008 documents
Quotes, orders and invoices in the German business letter layout.
Hosting in the EU
Your own database, never shared, on servers in the EU, with a data processing agreement.
Problems we have already solved
Media company · Germany
Quotes in Excel, invoices in Word, and no overview of what had been delivered, invoiced and paid.
Every project shows what is still open, and invoices go out automatically as e-invoices.
Read the case study →Sightseeing buses · Germany
Which buses could run was on a whiteboard, and the logbook was copied by hand from small booklets.
Every bus shows whether it can run, and the kilometres for the tax return are counted automatically.

What does an Odoo implementation cost?
Odoo Community itself costs no licence fee. You pay for operation and for the work: operation in 36T Cloud starts at €39 net per month, with no price per user. The setup is a fixed-price package that you know before we start. All prices are on our pricing page.
How does an Odoo implementation work?
We start with the problem that costs you the most time. It becomes a first package with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Once it runs in daily operations, you decide what comes next. Every change is a user story with a time estimate that you approve beforehand.
Can Odoo handle e-invoices in XRechnung and ZUGFeRD format?
Yes, with our own module: XRechnung and ZUGFeRD (EN 16931) with the Leitweg-ID, the customer's order and contract references, the right invoice type and a check of every field before the invoice goes out. It is included in the Plus and Premium plans.
Does Odoo work with DATEV?
Yes. In the Premium plan our module exports the accounting in DATEV format for your tax advisor.
Where is our data stored?
On servers in the EU, in a database of your own that is never shared with other customers, under a data processing agreement. You get your data at any time as a standard Odoo backup.
Can we switch from Odoo Enterprise to Community?
Yes. We migrate existing Odoo Enterprise installations to Community and rebuild your customisations. One example is the media company on our projects page.
Is 36T an Odoo partner?
Not any more. We used to be an Odoo partner and left on purpose: we want the freedom to choose the right tool for each client, and no vendor commission should influence what we recommend. That is why we sell no licences and work with the free Community edition.
